ACA SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

  • Posted: 20 August, 2014

The ACA Management Committee has adopted a new policies and framework in regards to sponsorship of the association at the recent Management Committee meeting held in Brisbane.

It has been decided that a business or individual will be able to align their name with the various Championship titles within the association. The Sponsorship framework has been developed to value the different levels of sponsorship that the ACA will be seeking and outlines the opportunities available to sponsoring parties.

The three current Major sponsors of the association (Ariat, Riverina and Top Country) have all aligned with the Gold Level of sponsorship within the framework.

There are limited spaces available for other parties to align themselves with the fastest growing horse sport in the country. Interested individuals or businesses should contact the Sponsors Sub-Committee chairman, Mr Trader Wilson to discuss this opportunity further.

Contact details are (07)41641242 or 0437491979. Email: trader.andrea@gmail.com

CHAMPION OPEN CUT OUT HORSE OF AUSTRALIA

  • Posted: 12 March, 2014
  • Updated: 28 August, 2014

To all Committees and Members,

At the recent meeting in Roma the Champion Open Cut Out Horse Title was finalized.  Listed below are the guidelines it is to be run under.

Committees are asked if at all possible to have a clear cut winner for cut outs in the open and restricted open drafts.

Competitors are asked to respect a committee's decision if they are unable to run off a cut out if they are limited on time or cattle availability.

This new award will commence on the 1st of April 2014 and will be sponsored by Cowboy Alley who have kindly donated a saddle to be presented to the winner at St George National Finals in 2015.

1. Every committee that runs an Open and/or Restricted Open Draft must find an outright winner for the cut-out and record it on the official results sheet.

2. Where two or more horses tie for first place the winner shall be determined by a run-off, however under exceptional circumstances, a draw will determine the winner of the cut-out and standings points allocated.

3. Where Committees are running an Open Draft with two full rounds, the Open Cut out horse of the year award will be determined from the aggregate winner from the two first rounds.

4. Points be allocated for the winner of the cut-out in any Open and Restricted Open drafts using the current ACA points system. (A cut-out win will be worth the same amount of points as a draft win)

5. Points will be gained from the 1st April to the 31st March.

6. Points are gained and recorded in the same way as our current Zone Points System where a horse will only get points from within the zone of its owner.

7. The owner of the horse must be a financial member of the ACA and the horse must be registered with the ACA for points to be allocated.

8. The horse which is leading the standings on the 31st March from each of the 9 zones of the ACA will qualify to compete at the National Finals.

9. If the leading horse from a certain zone is not available the next horse in the standings will be invited until that zones spot has been filled.

10. When there is no competitor attending the National Finals from a certain zone then that spot in the Cut-out competition is filled by the next available horse in the standings from the host zone of the National Finals.

11. The competition will be judged by two Judges at the National Finals.

12. Each horse starts the competition with 0 points. The competition will consist of 3 rounds. Each horse will compete over three separate rounds at the National Finals and be scored by both judges. Judges scores will be averaged to give a single round score for each horse.

13. Changes of riders between rounds is only permissible under special circumstances i.e. (Sickness, injury, family sickness, bereavement and the like).

14. All round scores will be added together and the horse with the highest total at the end of the third round will be crowned “ACA Champion Open Cut-out Horse”.

15. Where a tie occurs at the end of three rounds, a runoff will take place until there is an outright winner.
