To All Campdraft Competitors
The 2015 calendar of drafts is about to get into full swing and many competitors would already started working horses in preparation for the drafts ahead. ACA is fully aware of the problems that many competitors are about to face when nominating for a campdraft whether it be by phone, mail or online. The sheer volume of members wanting to compete is placing a huge strain on committees when they have to turn many nominations away.
For this reason ACA is hosting a Member Forum day in Roma on Friday, 13th February 2015, starting at 10 am at the Roma Bowls Club, (35 Lovell St). This day will focus on nothing else but the nominations process, the problems and possible solutions which ACA and affiliate committees may have to adopt in moving forward.
The ACA Management Committee has formed a “Nominations Sub-committee” which is chaired by Mr Que Hornery. Any member who has ideas should put them in writing addressed to Mr Hornery and post to ACA, PO Box 472, Roma QLD 4455 or email to email@example.com before 6 February 2015. Alternatively, Que or other Management Committee Members can be contacted via the details available in the ACA magazine or website.
This is a very important day for the future of ACA and all members are encouraged to attend. Morning tea and lunch will be provided by the ACA for all members attending. It would be appreciated if any member who is attending on the day could RSVP to the ACA Office by Thursday 5th February on (07) 46223110 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Junior Campdrafters are the future of campdrafting, so their safety and education in this great sport is paramount.
With that in mind, the ACA has decided to introduce guidelines to be placed in the Rule Book for reference to parents and committees.
What the ACA is requesting are comments and thoughts to what members think should be included in these guidelines.

It has been drawn to ACAs attention that some Committees in Queensland are not correctly complying with the NLIS reporting requirements. Cattle only have to be shown as being at an event rather than transferred on and off relevant PIC's. This is known as the Sighted Livestock reporting function and more information is in the linked document below.
The ACA Management Committee has adopted a new policies and framework in regards to sponsorship of the association at the recent Management Committee meeting held in Brisbane.
It has been decided that a business or individual will be able to align their name with the various Championship titles within the association. The Sponsorship framework has been developed to value the different levels of sponsorship that the ACA will be seeking and outlines the opportunities available to sponsoring parties.
The three current Major sponsors of the association (Ariat, Riverina and Top Country) have all aligned with the Gold Level of sponsorship within the framework.
There are limited spaces available for other parties to align themselves with the fastest growing horse sport in the country. Interested individuals or businesses should contact the Sponsors Sub-Committee chairman, Mr Trader Wilson to discuss this opportunity further.
Contact details are (07)41641242 or 0437491979. Email: email@example.com
